Sony shuts down a PlayStation homebrew store, and clones promptly appear. That is the opening predicament in GameLinked's "Sony might be cooked", but Riley Murdock has another wrinkle to add: an unofficial app bringing Xbox Cloud Gaming to jailbroken PS5 consoles.

The distinction matters. This is not Sony welcoming Xbox onto its console, nor an option available on an ordinary, unmodified PS5. Murdock explains that the Overdrive store requires a console jailbroken with Relapse, before showing how unofficial software is stretching what those machines can do.

The episode drew roughly 280,000 views in its first day, more than thirty times GameLinked's usual start. For the gaming-news show from Linus Media Group, this was an unusually large audience for its weekly roundup.

Beyond the Sony headline, the report keeps returning to software being pulled apart or remade. Murdock says Microsoft's Xbox Labs will experiment with using AI to decompile and recompile older games. Later, he covers Sega withdrawing a Total War: Shogun 2 release after criticism of AI-upscaling glitches. These are separate stories, but together they give the episode a recurring question: what happens when familiar games are rebuilt with new tools?

There is also a paid sponsorship segment, performed by Murdock with a ukulele. The closing news item changes scale entirely, moving from console restrictions and AI experiments to Game Freak's weather-and-laundry RPG, Ame nochi Hare Onna.
