A robot barista from Breville, and Simon Gautherin's three-pour recipe
Golden Brown's two new uploads put an all-in-one grind-and-brew machine beside a 15-gram recipe that, by the description's rule, should never run past three minutes.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Breville's NEW Spiral Luxe Auto Pour Over
"Breville's NEW Spiral Luxe Auto Pour Over" is Golden Brown Coffee's newest Short, and it hands the kettle to a machine. The Spiral Luxe grinds and brews filter coffee in one unit, and the description sums up the deal with a shrug: robots cannot dance as well as the host, but they make a good cup. On its first day it drew about 19,000 views, more than any other video on the channel is managing right now.
The other upload went fully human. "The exact recipe @simongautherin uses !" borrows from Simon Gautherin, the French barista whose opinions the channel clearly takes seriously, and it is refreshingly short: 15 grams of very coarse coffee, 210 grams of water at 90°C, poured in three 70-gram rounds with a minute's rest between them. Under it, viewers mostly want the fine print: the grind setting, the filters, the click count on a Timemore grinder. One reports that the recipe rescued a strangely roasted natural coffee they had been struggling with, and a small running joke about "second best" seems to point back to Gautherin's rankings.
Those rankings are still working too. A brewing-method list credited to Gautherin, posted about four weeks ago, keeps finding people at a steady clip, the channel's "what Simon says, goes" approach in its plainest form.
Overall it was a level week for a channel built on coffee without the snobbery: views ran right at their usual pace and about a thousand new subscribers came along. Among cooking and food channels of a similar size, Broccoli Mum and Cooking With Volk are having the big weeks, while Golden Brown kept to its own steady pour.

I’m happy to report this recipe saved a super funky natural coffee roasted really weirdly that I’d been struggling with. Thank you!
