Harry's Farm reaches 200,000 subscribers as wheat drilling sparks memories
Viewers compare modern machinery with hand-loaded seed bags, while baling and soil preparation keep the older uploads busy.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Drilling wheat for harvest 2027 with the latest direct drill but how does it work? Find out here..
How far has farming machinery come? Beneath Harry's latest wheat-drilling video, viewers are answering with memories of seed bags loaded by hand and tractors working alongside horses. Others are making a rather different inventory: the mechanical, mathematical, computing and economic skills a farmer needs today.
Harry's Farm posted just one video, "Drilling wheat for harvest 2027 with the latest direct drill but how does it work? Find out here.." It has reached about 208,000 views and remains the channel's busiest daily draw. The explanation of the drill's workings has prompted viewers to talk about both the technology and the value of making it understandable, including suggestions that these videos belong in schools.
The channel also reached 200,000 subscribers after adding subscribers over the week. Views are running below their usual daily pace right now, but the new wheat upload has plenty of company from earlier stages of the farming calendar.
Kaleb's tour of his big baler is the next strongest daily draw, with its explanation of straw baling and wheat loading. The September muck-spreading upload follows, bringing chicken muck, zoo manure and composted tree waste into preparations for the next harvest.
Among nearby outdoors and homesteading channels, Piney Grove Homestead had a particularly large viewing week, while Harry's subscriber gain matched several neighbors. On Harry's own shelf, the useful connection is between those soil-preparation and drilling videos: next year's crop already has a story before it has a harvest.

The skills a modern farmer must have… agriculture, mechanical repair, math, computer science, planning, economics… and more. Plus great doses of luck and optimism.
@jazzjokesjalopiesSee it on YouTubeWell that was a lovely surprise for a Tuesday evening!!
The tech on some of this farming kit is simply mind-boggling! Thanks Harry for giving us an (understandable!) explanation.@richardmosley4549See it on YouTubeBig change from when I was younger, Massey drill, hundredweight bags of fert. Similar size bags of seed, all loaded by hand, had a Job to see where you were going with the low sun in your eyes, you guys have it easy in comparison, and rightly so, it's called progress.
