Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 509,218 views a day, 13 times a normal first day on this channel (39,526).

No more Knecht 4 in LA😳🚨

House of Highlights uses a scoring moment to deliver a departure report: Dalton Knecht catches the ball beyond the arc, sinks a three against Sacramento and runs back on defense. Over the play, an on-screen caption says the Lakers have waived him.

The clips channel credits Shams Charania in its description. This is game footage carrying a roster update, rather than footage of Knecht discussing his departure. The title, "No more Knecht 4 in LA😳🚨," puts the news in the language of his jersey number.

The Short drew roughly 222,000 views in seven hours, a much faster start than the channel's usual Shorts pace.

In the comments, the conversation quickly turns to possible destinations. Golden State gets repeated mentions, while other viewers make the case for Miami, Minnesota and New York. Several also question whether the Lakers gave Knecht enough playing time. Those are fans' proposed landing spots, not reported moves: beneath a clip of him making a shot for Los Angeles, viewers are already imagining him taking the next one elsewhere.
