Invincible VS - Official Agent Spider Reveal Trailer

Agent Spider has been in the trailer for about a minute before he greets a battered Mark Grayson with a reasonable question: "So, you a good Invincible, or a bad one?"

IGN's "Invincible VS - Official Agent Spider Reveal Trailer" went up on Sunday and passed 570,000 views in its first eleven hours, several times what the channel's trailers of this length usually gather in a full day. The comment section is moving even faster, with more than ten times its usual first-day count already in.

The trailer opens in the game's 3D arena. Angstrom Levy steps out of a green portal, Invincible attacks, and Levy hurls him through a rift into a 2D animated alley. That is where Agent Spider is waiting. He swings back into the fight, warns his new friend that Levy has "some floating balls" behind him, and returns bloodied but cheerful with "Welcome to the neighborhood."

The setup comes straight from the comics. In Robert Kirkman's Invincible, Agent Spider is a cheerful pastiche of a certain web-slinger whom Mark meets on his trips through other dimensions. The game's description leans into it, calling him a "vaguely familiar, fully compliant" neighborhood hero. Commenters have taken the hint. They joke about lawyers, offer their own variations on J. Jonah Jameson's famous demands for photos, and predict that Spider-Man mods will look strangely accurate.

The end card sets Season Two for October 13. Agent Spider, the fourth fighter in the Year 1 Character Pass, follows in winter as part of Season 3.

He has company on the release schedule. Tekken 8's Roger Jr. gameplay trailer is also off to a fast start. It marks the boxing kangaroo's first appearance since Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and a Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls DLC roster went up the same day.
