Insert Richie's September chess unboxing is getting another burst of attention, adding roughly 224,000 views in a day, five times its usual daily pace. The pieces move themselves, but he still finds a job for Ron Weasley.

The Short demonstrates a Harry Potter GoChess board, with the upload labeled as a gift. Richie unpacks the black and white pieces, sets them out and claps before they slide into their starting positions. Watching the board organize itself is one thing. Having an opposing piece glide toward him after his own move gets a more apprehensive reaction.

Then the demonstration becomes a miniature movie parody. A brief excerpt of Ron's chessboard sacrifice gives way to Richie playing Ron, Harry and Hermione in different wigs, with a plush toy standing in for Ron's enormous knight. It's a very different kind of special effect from the electronics on the table.

The comments pick up on both halves of the performance: the wig changes earn mentions, while one viewer suggests adding magical sound effects to cover the mechanism's noise. Another wants more animation from the pieces themselves. They travel across the squares, but this set leaves the dramatic acting to Richie.
