Making a 1:1 Gearing for the 5th Scale RC Car with the Makera Z1 PRO!
An engine note can be as much of a draw as the machinery making it. Beneath JohnnyQ90's latest RC-car build, viewers keep mentioning the sound, the revs at the end and whether the car has enough power for taller gearing.
The upload has drawn about 83,000 views in barely half a day, already several times the channel's usual full-day audience. This time, the focus isn't assembling another miniature engine. It's changing how the power gets passed along.
In "Making a 1:1 Gearing for the 5th Scale RC Car with the Makera Z1 PRO!", JohnnyQ90 tackles a one-to-one gear ratio: the input and output turn at the same speed. It's a drivetrain project alongside a recent run of tiny-engine uploads, including a flat-four's assembly and startup and a miniature LS V8 idling slowly.
The replies offer two different ways into the build. One viewer singles out the thread milling, a machining process they hadn't seen before. Others concentrate on the car's sound and suggest adding an overdrive. Several also bring up the miniature LS and an engine swap they're looking forward to, connecting this gearing job to the engine work elsewhere on JohnnyQ90's channel.

You have enough power and torque for taller gearing. Reinstall the multi-speed transmission (in addition to this transmission) to shift into overdrive.
