Kate Marie's podcast request comes with an awkward follow-up

Viewers are picking out a gentle refusal as her latest Short draws an unusually large early audience.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 481,858 views a day, 5.2 times a normal first day on this channel (92,369).

Do you think she’ll let me on?

Getting onto the podcast is one question. Being allowed in is apparently another, judging by the exchange viewers keep discussing beneath Kate Marie's "Do you think she'll let me on?"

The comments focus on Kate's request to come in and the softly delivered refusal that follows. Others pick out the podcast invitation question or a greeting directed toward the dog. Some are campaigning for Kate to get that guest spot after all.

The Short reached about 292,000 views in ten hours, already more than triple the audience her Shorts usually draw across a full first day. Its comment section was also twice as busy as a typical first day, with much of the conversation centered on that understated rejection.

Podcast appearances are already part of Kate's recent lineup: another upload announces an episode with Angelo and Mariah. This time, though, the attempt to secure an invitation is itself the entertainment.
