Seven people, a sitting Virginia state senator among them, were arrested or surrendered after a federal indictment, and LiveNOW from FOX carried the announcement live from Norfolk. Attorney General Todd Blanche says the senator faces five counts, including racketeering conspiracy and marijuana distribution conspiracy. Prosecutors accuse the group of distributing large quantities of marijuana and laundering the proceeds. These are charges, not findings of guilt.
FBI Director Kash Patel follows Blanche to the podium with a figure: he says the enterprise brought in nearly $5 million. Theophani Stamos, the first assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, describes a multiyear investigation that she says included recovered weapons and pandemic loan fraud.
The announcement takes about nine minutes. The questions take the rest. Asked whether the case is retaliation against an opponent of President Donald Trump, Blanche answers, "We don't do political paybacks," and adds, "Don't trust me, read the indictment." He defends bringing the charges before an election, and declines to discuss a search involving Rep. Ilhan Omar beyond saying, "We don't talk about searches." One reporter asks how the senator could seek a recreational marijuana license when Virginia has no retail market. Blanche does not go beyond the indictment.
The broadcast closes with the anchor reading the senator's own response to the investigation after FBI searches in May: "I will not be intimidated, I will not be bullied, and I will not back down."
The video neared a million views in its first 13 hours, and its comment section filled far faster than the channel's usual. On the same day, a report on Iran's claim that seven ships were hit near the Strait of Hormuz drew a large crowd of its own.

A press conference that drew far more viewers than a typical LiveNOW from FOX upload, on a day when a second news video also ran well ahead of usual.
