I Spent 2 Years Wanting this Team

What do LuigiToan's viewers watch when he takes a week off? Mostly the team he spent two years waiting for.

"I Spent 2 Years Wanting this Team" went up 19 days ago, and its tags place it in Money SMP Season 6, the lifesteal server where much of his recent work happens. It has passed 1.7 million views and is still the busiest video on his channel by a wide margin. The description thanks two musicians for letting him use their music, which suggests a video built with some care.

It also reads like a sequel. In the spring he posted "Breaking a 2 Year Long Curse," about ending a long losing streak on the same server, with five other players credited in the description. That one is closing in on 1.9 million views. Two years of losing, then two years of wanting a particular team: the channel's bio calls him "an underrated minecraft player," and these titles keep testing that line.

The odd one on the shelf is "I Got Slapped by 100 YouTubers IRL," from the summer, a real-life detour that keeps finding viewers.

With nothing new posted, the channel ran at well under its usual daily pace, though about 2,000 subscribers still came along. Among the Minecraft creators closest to him in size, Johnny World is the one having a huge week, and SB737 Reacts is running well above its usual pace. PythonMC and ZedaphPlays had quiet ones.
