Mandy packed a whole season into one upload. "family_vacation.mov", her only video of the week, starts at a fall market in Toronto, stops in London and then heads to her fiancé Martin's family home in Croatia. The description holds back the final destination for the next vlog, or for anyone who watches to the very end.
It drew more than 200,000 views on its first day and is past 375,000 now. That pushed the whole channel above its usual daily pace, and about 2,000 new subscribers arrived over the week.
The comments read like a list of timestamps. Viewers keep pointing to a passerby who seemed to lose his nerve when he noticed the camera, to Martin pleading with Mandy to keep paddling, and to his "apple review persona" slipping out. Someone called a crumbling old building a "fixer upper". Mandy's new plum hair color gets its own fan club. The most liked comment, though, looks ahead to the next filename: wedding_vlog.mov.
That wedding thread runs through the older uploads too. "fiancé_tag.mov", where Mandy introduced Martin after five years together, is close to 570,000 views and is still bringing in a few thousand a day. Her late-September "pre_fall_vlog.mov" keeps moving alongside it.
Among vlog channels of a similar size, Girl Truck Routine had the biggest week by a wide margin. Most of the group, including Madison Sarah and Monet McMichael, ran below their usual pace. Mandy was one of the few running above hers.
