Alaska has another chapter on Mav's shelf, following his earlier floatplane wilderness outing. "Alaska Beach Shelter Stealth Camping " was his only new upload this week, drawing roughly 384,000 views and supplying the channel's busiest daily viewing right now.

The beach-shelter premise is a change from the truck camping that made Mavrik Joos familiar to so many viewers. Yet the comments point back to another part of his outdoor routine: cooking. One longtime viewer asks him to revive the practice of choosing a viewer's recipe, making the dish and crediting its contributor. Elsewhere, saffron and a reappearing Takashi Saji folding knife get their own mentions. Even on an Alaska trip, the kitchen equipment has its regulars.
