October Buck Down, A Mobile Move Pays Off | Midwest Whitetail

Scouting gets its payoff in “October Buck Down, A Mobile Move Pays Off | Midwest Whitetail,” the most-watched of the channel's five new uploads. Brandon Quandt tags an Illinois buck on opening weekend after several days of preparation, giving the team's season its first successful archery hunt. The episode has reached about 28,000 views.

Viewers are talking about the work involved in self-filming the hunt, as well as the buck's Ba-Ba nickname. One longtime viewer says the videos bring them back into the woods now that they can no longer hunt, a small reminder of what this series offers beyond the result.

“October Nights Hit Different!” drew a slightly larger first-day audience, though the hunting episode has accumulated more views since. Meanwhile, “Have you seen a BRAWL like this?” is attracting the most daily views of the channel's active videos, narrowly above Brandon's episode.

Subscribers held steady over the week, and daily viewing is running at a little over half its usual pace. Nearby in the outdoors group, Deer Hunting Cajuns had a substantial viewing week and Better Together Homestead added subscribers. Midwest Whitetail's own week belongs to the opening-season hunt, with evening and cold-front uploads filling out its October slate.
