Matt Wolfe hands Gemini 4 Argon his Megabonk test and a Gary Busey bust
Google's new model gets the same game-building challenge Wolfe gave Claude two weeks earlier, plus a 3D print and an agent that stalls.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 189,410 views a day, 36 times a normal first day on this channel (5,256).

Things we can learn from the video
Press to jump
- 1:47Wolfe says Argon is built for the most complex problems, and coders will notice the gains first.
- 2:42Benchmarks compare it with Claude and GPT, and the output limit reaches one million tokens.
- 6:54Pricing is split across Pro and Ultra subscriptions, API rates and introductory offers.
- 8:24Tests begin: a Gary Busey SVG, a playable Megabonk 3D clone and a physics playground.
- 13:33The model produces a printable STL bust of Busey, and Wolfe shows the physical print.
- 14:59The Tasks agent mode stalls but produces Google Slides. The final verdict comes at 17:35.
Matt Wolfe's longer videos usually open their first day with a few thousand views. "Google Just Caught Up (Gemini-4 Argon)" passed 125,000 in its first eleven hours.
Gemini 4 Argon already had a slot in his October 2 news roundup, as we reported here. This time Google's model gets a full video, and Wolfe makes it run through his own obstacle course. Some of the tests will look familiar to regular viewers. At the end of September he let Anthropic's Opus 5.5 work on his Megabonk test for almost 20 hours. Now Gemini gets the same assignment inside Antigravity, Google's coding platform: build a 3D clone of Megabonk, the indie roguelike. Wolfe plays the web version it produces, then asks for a physics playground with adjustable gravity and wind.
Gary Busey turns up twice. Wolfe's homemade "BuseyBench" asks for an SVG illustration of the actor, and on that drawing his verdict is short: "honestly, it is probably the best." Later the model writes a printable 3D file, and the printer turns it into a physical bust. "Yeah, it actually did print my Busey bust," he says.
Not everything cooperates. The new Tasks agent mode stalls during his attempt, though it still leaves behind a finished Google Slides deck. His conclusion is the one in the title: a new state-of-the-art model, and Google has finally caught up.
The comments are moving fast, already past a usual full first day of conversation. Many puzzle over who can actually use Argon inside Antigravity on which subscription. Others question whether long-standing benchmarks still mean much. Some ask what a million-token output limit looks like in practice, with one viewer wanting it measured in Harry Potter novels. And the model's name has set off a small run of chemistry puns.

I'd make a chemistry joke for this occasion, but I'm afraid all the good ones argon 😎
@PunmasterSTPSee it on YouTubeWhen he said "750,000 words of output" I thought, "can you give that to me in Harry Potter novels please?" 750,000 words doesn't mean anything to me.

Just started using it, and it's good! Not going to sleep for the next few days, lol.
@TerenceAllen-q1i4nSee it on YouTubei am on the Pro plan and i used it to solve something GPT (free version ) couldn't do , i used it to sort out a Wifi 6 Mesh system that wasn't working properly , it did it in mins.. Very happy with it.
@ZoozazoidSee it on YouTubeI suspect we might see people discovering that the extra large output window makes some things possible that just weren't before.
@HypnoGenXSee it on YouTubeSomeone's got a new editor haha

Wolfe's BuseyBench asks for an SVG illustration. What does SVG stand for?
SVG is the Scalable Vector Graphics format, which describes images as shapes, so they can be resized without losing sharpness.
