No Rolls Barred opens its new Blood on the Clocktower season with Father Tom preaching in the shadows and players seated around a rustic barn set. The solemn atmosphere doesn't survive everyone's attempts to work out whom to trust.
In "Hopes Dashii'd | Blood on the Clocktower S4E1", Sullivan tells Dom he's the Empath. Dom says he's the Empath, too. Meanwhile, Mara, who actually holds that role, is alone in the village square, supplying different voices for a conversation with scarecrows.
That's the particular pleasure of watching this social deduction game with the roles revealed: the audience can see exactly how far a confident conversation has wandered from the truth. Viewers keep returning to Mara's improvised conversations and the absurdity of the competing Empath claims. Others are welcoming back Tom's narration.
The premiere drew roughly 76,000 views in eleven hours, already several times the channel's usual full-day audience for a regular video. This is a strong start for a returning series on a channel whose most-watched uploads include elaborate reinventions of Monopoly.
Ben says the season will feature popular custom scripts, beginning with "Extension Cord" by VivelaSam. Its setup centers on the No Dashii demon, with the storytellers explaining everyone's roles before the private conversations begin. Those explanations give newcomers a useful advantage: when Sullivan and Dom step into Washerwoman's Laundry, viewers already know where the real Empath is sitting.

I’m just over an hour in, but I needed to stop by and say that Mara Joy’s absolute joy in this game is infectious. Every time she says “I love this game” it just brings a big smile to my face.
