Do matching colors mean it's time to grab the pickle? Not in Get the Pickle, the card game getting a quick demonstration on Tiktok BoardGames. It's the matching shapes that matter, and reaching too soon earns a penalty.
The sponsored Short puts a green, squeaky pickle in the center of the action. Players flip cards clockwise until matching items trigger a scramble to grab it. The successful player sheds their discard pile; the loser takes cards back into their deck. Emptying your deck is the goal, so quick hands need an accurate eye.
That demonstration drew roughly eleven times the channel's usual first-day views for a Short. The comment section was unusually busy too, with several viewers comparing the matching-and-grabbing mechanism to Jungle Speed. One recalled playing that game at summer camp.
Only the narrator's hands appear as he deals, flips and explains the special cards. Beneath the pickle jokes, the tutorial's most useful warning is straightforward: ignore the colors.
