Coq au vin invites kitchen confidence on Notorious Foodie
The French classic joins a cheeseburger in a two-upload week, with viewers swapping cooking tips and serving suggestions.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Coq au Vin 🇫🇷🐔🍷
Notorious Foodie posted French comfort food and a cheeseburger, but it was the wine-braised chicken that got viewers thinking about their own kitchens. Under "Coq au Vin 🇫🇷🐔🍷", several commenters describe the dish as something they could realistically attempt, a telling response to a channel built around indulgent ingredients.
The upload has reached roughly 555,000 views, making it the week's biggest new draw. Coq au vin traditionally means rooster cooked in wine, with slow braising turning a tough bird tender. The comments branch into recipe variations, including reducing the wine before marinating and adding brandy, while another viewer proposes mashed potatoes and crusty bread alongside. The soundtrack gets a few mentions, too.
"The Perfect Cheeseburger 😍" supplied the other new upload, though the chicken currently has the stronger daily momentum. An older poultry dinner is also keeping busy: "One-pan Roast Chicken & Potatoes 🐓😍" is approaching a million views, more than a month after publication.
Across the channel, the week brought about three million additional views while the subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is a little above its usual level. Among nearby food channels, Sam Shan Shops had a particularly substantial viewing week, while Notorious Foodie's weekly gain sat between Faraway Village's and TIFFYCOOKS'. Here, the most specific conversation was reassuringly practical: what to put beside that wine-rich sauce.

Finally I can actually make something chef cooks. My top tips: Reduce the red wine by half BEFORE marinating the chicken in it and add a glass of port as well. Also flambe the chicken with Brandy after browning.
