[REPLAY] Irish Music Session 🎻☘️ | OAIM's Monthly Livestream

The tunes kept circulating. Online Academy of Irish Music posted nothing new, but its monthly session replay and two beginner tin-whistle lessons give viewers distinct ways into traditional music.

The October 4 session is the busiest of its currently active videos. "[REPLAY] Irish Music Session 🎻☘️ | OAIM's Monthly Livestream" brings Heather Bixler, Kirsten Allstaff, Maitiu Curley, Carla Beggan and MJ McMahon together for an evening of tunes from County Clare. Its repertoire includes "Shoe the Donkey," "The Battering Ram" and "Sí Bheag, Sí Mhór," with keys supplied in the description for people playing along at home. The replay has reached roughly 7,700 views.

For anyone not yet ready to join a session, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh supplies the starting point. "Play Your First Notes on Tin Whistle 🪈 | Absolute Beginner #Shorts" covers choosing a whistle, holding it and finding those first notes. "How to Blow a Tin Whistle Correctly 🪈 | Beginner Tips #Shorts" tackles the next practical hurdle: producing a clear, controlled sound.

The subscriber count stayed unchanged across the week, while the channel added about 23,000 views. Its current daily viewing is noticeably above its usual level. Nearby in subscriber size, Tairyu Shakuhachi also had an unchanged subscriber count, though its daily viewing is a little below usual. OAIM's own activity spans both ends of its teaching brief: getting a first sound out of an instrument and having a repertoire to play with others.
