Andrew Lloyd Webber remixes Phantom's 1986 score, track by track
Fifteen official visualizers arrived in one go, from the Overture to a song demo credited to the composer himself.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Overture | (The Andrew Lloyd Webber 2026 Mix) Official Visualizer
A whole score, remixed. The Phantom of the Opera's official channel posted fifteen uploads this week, each an "Official Visualizer" for a track from "The Andrew Lloyd Webber 2026 Mix". According to the credits, the composer produced and mixed the new versions himself with Lee McCutcheon, and Simon Gibson mastered them.
The timing looks deliberate. The channel's about text dates the London opening to 9 October 1986 at Her Majesty's Theatre, with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and the batch went up the day before that anniversary. Within a few hours the Overture had drawn the most viewers, with "The Point Of No Return" just behind it. Further down the list sits a curiosity: "Andrew's Phantom Demo".
Under the Overture, the comments read like a box of theatre programs. One viewer describes years of playing the original cast album before finally seeing the show at Broadway's Majestic Theatre. Another writes from a summer trip to London. Some listeners care about the details: one notices that the 1986 organ and drum click track have been swapped for the version used on stage today, and another recognizes the mix heard at "Masquerade".
The channel picked up a little over a million views across the week, in line with its usual pace, and its subscriber count did not move. Among the music channels close to it in size, BandLab and BrettYoungVEVO had the busier weeks.

What viewers say
For many many years, I would sit in my room listening to the original 1986 soundtrack over and over again, imagining what it would be like to experience the show live. Then, in 2022, I finally made it to Broadway’s Majestic Theatre to see this magnificent show in person.
The moment the overture began and the chandelier rose(0:31), the sheer power and intensity of the sound were a hundred times greater than the soundtrack. It felt as though lightning were coursing through my entire body.
This new 2026 remix, re-edited by Lord Lloyd Webber himself, is so much more powerful than the 1986 version…@minc4108Read it all on YouTubeThey've swapped out the original 1986 organ and drums click track for the current version.
