Will This ABANDONED LOW MILEAGE Pontiac Run And Drive After 52 Years?
Eleven days ago, Pole Barn Garage went looking for a 1968 Pontiac Catalina that had sat on the lot of an abandoned used car dealership since the late 1970s. By the description's count, it spent more than half a century roasting in the desert sun and has only 66,000 miles on the clock. The question in the title is the one that drives the whole channel: will it run and drive?
No new uploads went up this week, and the Catalina is the video people are opening most right now. It has passed 300,000 views. Close behind it are two older projects that fit the channel's motto, "regular builds for regular folks." One is a $500 small block Chevy bought from a Facebook Marketplace seller who was really trying to sell something else. It came with Dart Iron Eagle heads and a Comp camshaft, which raises the title's question of whether it was too good to be true. The other is a $200 1985 Ford LTD LX pulled out of the desert. Under that four-door body sits a Fox Body Mustang, and it is being built cheap and fast ahead of Blue Collar Drags 2026.
Even without anything new, the channel had a busy stretch. Daily views ran at about twice their usual pace, and around 800,000 views came in over the week, the third most among the car channels nearest its size. Pico Automotive Diagnostics had the big week, and Tom Coolen led the group in views gained. The subscriber count barely moved, so the extra attention came mostly from people watching older videos, not from new subscribers.
