7 Genius DIY Tricks You Wish You Knew Sooner!

A gate bolt's ground socket is useful until it fills with dirt. Quickdvice's latest workshop compilation starts with a removable metal tube inside a PVC sleeve: pull the tube out, clear the blockage and put it back.

That small maintenance problem opens "7 Genius DIY Tricks You Wish You Knew Sooner!", which has drawn about 650,000 views in its first 11 hours, already well beyond the clips channel's usual full-day audience for a Short.

PVC keeps turning up in different roles. In the next demonstration, a section is cut and heated into a wearable hammer holder. Another piece, notched and drilled, becomes an adjustable clothesline tensioner. The compilation brings together hands-on demonstrations with an unseen narrator, rather than a host explaining a project at the workbench.

The clothesline device gets a specific mention in the comments, while another viewer questions why the hammer holder appears attached to a pocket when the narration says belt. It's the sort of detail that separates a quick demonstration from the practical questions it leaves behind.

Quickdvice also has a separate tiling compilation past a million views. That upload concentrates on fitting tiles around awkward obstacles, including round columns, curved walls and multiple pipes. Here, the focus is smaller homemade tools, ending its main sequence with clear tubing cut into a spiral wrap for organizing cables.
