RagePlaysGames brings oil drilling to his Minecraft world
An oil-rig project follows the excavator build as the channel draws nearly a million views in a day.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 997,166 views a day, 12 times a normal day (80,897).
Digging up his hardcore Minecraft world wasn't enough for RagePlaysGames. His next industrial project is an oil rig, with pollution explicitly part of the plan.
"Industrializing Minecraft with Create," posted on October 19, extends a run of builds whose titles sound increasingly unkind to the landscape: ruining it, polluting it, destroying it, and now putting it to industrial use. The new upload has already drawn roughly 780,000 views.
Alongside that release, the channel's daily views have climbed to more than twelve times their usual level. That is a channel-wide jump, not the new video's daily total.
The oil-rig project uses Create alongside add-ons including The Factory Must Grow and Power Grid, with Pollution of Realms also in the mix. For a creator whose channel introduction admits to loving Create "a bit too much," the appeal isn't simply building something enormous. These projects turn machinery into a way of changing the world around it, even when that means deliberately making his own survival landscape worse.
The excavator dug into the terrain. The oil rig takes that industrial theme further.
