Rako gives an "ugly rock" the last-second rescue role
An unusually fast start for the animated Short accompanies another large weekly subscriber gain and a snowman's viewing milestone.
Why this story? The channel went from 653,000 to 866,000 subscribers this week.
A sister, a monster, a snowman, a tree: Rako's rescue stories have made room for some unlikely heroes. An "ugly rock" is the next addition, with its animated Short drawing views much faster than the channel's usual first-day pace.
Rako added roughly 213,000 subscribers over the past week, expanding its subscriber count by about a third. That is another substantial gain for a channel whose recent stories have ranged from a grandmother selling her memories to an ant falling from the Empire State Building.
The rock story returns to a familiar promise in Rako's titles: something dismissed or unexpected becomes a last-second savior. Meanwhile, its earlier snowman rescue from a lake monster has passed ten million views. These are dramatized entertainment stories, not reports of real rescues. Rako says some are inspired by real events, while others are invented.
There is variety beyond the rescue formula, too. Its recent uploads include a farmer's buried treasure and three blind men arguing about an elephant. But the rock gives one of Rako's recurring ideas another outing: the unpromising thing turns out to matter.
