Chicago pride follows Randy Feltface's audience all the way to Denver

A hometown conversation doubles as a preview of his October 23 stop at the Vic Theatre.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Diana has been mountain biking, which Randy Feltface considers a very Denver way to spend the day. Ask where she's from, though, and the answer is Chicago. Ask a few more questions, and it turns out she's lived in Denver for 15 to 20 years.

That distinction between home and hometown supplies the week's busiest new upload, "Chicago! | Randy Feltface Comedy." Wearing a yellow jacket, the purple puppet turns Diana's enduring Chicago identity into a deep-dish pizza detour, describing it as "It's like eating a shoebox with cheese on top." The clip ends with his Chicago tour date.

Viewers take the geographical question surprisingly seriously. Some explain why they'll always name the place where they grew up; others propose rules for when a new city becomes home. Several point out that asking someone's hometown isn't quite the same as asking where they live. A crowd-work exchange has become a small residency debate.

Randy posted twice, with "Banana Beginnings | Randy Feltface Comedy" offering what its description calls a little history lesson. The Chicago clip reached roughly 36,000 views and is currently the channel's most active upload. The older "Baby Chickens | Randy Feltface Comedy" remains busy too, drawing daily views close to the banana clip's.

Across the channel, the week added roughly 426,000 views while subscribers held steady. Daily viewing is below its usual pace, a smaller week than nearby stand-up channels such as Taylor Tomlinson and Ali Siddiq. For Randy, the freshest talking point is wonderfully ordinary: how long can you live in Denver and keep answering Chicago?

What viewers say

  • Yep, same thing.
No matter how long I live up North, I'll always be from Florida.

  • Ha, the dancing randy at the end of the clip.

  • To be fair, saying you're from somewhere isn't the same as and can be confused with where you currently live. 🤷‍♂️ I've always lived in the same town but if I lived elsewhere I'd still say I was from where I was raised. 🙂

  • You're officially "from" the place you currently live at if you've been there so long, you no longer have to list the previous location on a job application.
  • It’s like growing up in Melbourne and moving to Sydney for work for years. Would anybody from either city claim their home city or would they claim where they are now

  • Well you asked if it was her hometown.
I was born and lived majority of my life in Texas but moved around to different states so when someone asked me where I came from I’d say “I’m Texan but I don’t live there anymore.”
