Two broken Lucids, one repair deadline on Rich Rebuilds

The salvage project turns one bargain luxury EV into two cars to get running before Lucid takes them back.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A cheap Lucid is only a bargain if you can get it moving. Rich Rebuilds' October 5 upload turns that familiar workshop problem into a deadline: Rich says Lucid offered to take both cars back to address Service Mode, and he wanted them running and driving before collection.

There were no new uploads this week, but this repair story has plenty of life in it. Now approaching four million views, the Lucid video has the strongest daily momentum among the channel's active uploads. Its description promises dead batteries, troublesome used parts and body-shop complications, with one broken car somehow becoming two. That's a distinctly Rich Rebuilds version of buying yourself another problem.

The Rivian delivery van hasn't disappeared from the picture. September's "I Bought the $100,000 Amazon Van You're Not Supposed to Own… Now I Know Why" remains the channel's most-watched regular upload. Rich describes a van whose systems work except for the rather important business of driving, and an attempt to diagnose its lockout without Rivian's help. The earlier purchase video is also continuing to collect views.

The audience grew by roughly 10,000 subscribers over the week, although daily views are currently below the channel's usual level. Among nearby motoring channels, WD Detailing and Gas Monkey Garage had larger weekly view gains. Rich Rebuilds nevertheless had a substantial week without adding anything new: the Lucids and that stubborn delivery van supplied the unfinished business.
