Average Joe Gets WILDER! Cynthia K. McWilliams & Malcolm Barrett Talk Season 2, Chaos & Chemistry

Who did the Side Dish crew get on the couch this week? The Montgomerys. Cynthia K. McWilliams and Malcolm Barrett, who play Cathy and Leon on Average Joe, sat down to talk about season 2, which the description promises takes "the insanity to another level." The conversation also wanders into their careers beyond the show, action and comedy roles and Comic-Con memories. Barrett is a familiar face to many from Better Off Ted and the time-travel series Timeless, so there was plenty to wander into.

The interview is the youngest of 14 uploads and already the one with the most pull on the shelf, moving faster each day than the long daily episodes around it.

Those episodes had their own story. On the Friday show Headkrack ran things alone, with Tanner Thomason out sick and Claudia Jordan traveling, and the comments filled up with people telling him he held it down, plus a few get-well wishes for Tanner. Monday's episode explained why so many were also saying congratulations: Headkrack received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Iconic Magazine, and the chapters include his acceptance speech and a detour into bow ties and Macy's shopping trips.

The same Monday show paused to remember the comedian Reggie McFadden, of Def Comedy Jam and In Living Color, and the tribute also went out as its own clip. Elsewhere, Claudia's hunt for one particular coconut water turned into a running bit across two episodes, complete with a brainstorm for a drink brand of their own.

The channel ran a little above its usual daily pace, with no change in subscribers. Among podcast and interview channels of similar size, the week belonged to Theo Rogan Shorts and HAHA Podcast, both well past their usual numbers.
