Does a new version call for a whole new pistol, or just a different grip? That is the practical question running through the comments on sootch00's "New Springfield Armory Echelon Pro Gun Review," the most-watched of his five uploads this week.

Don Porter puts the compact model beside a standard Echelon, examining the Badlands "Cracked Earth" texture, flared magazine well and gray slide before returning to the outdoor range. The review is a partnership with Springfield Armory, with ammunition supplied by Fiocchi. Porter calls the Echelon one of his favorites; viewers focus on whether existing owners could buy the grip separately, while others request different calibers. The review has reached roughly 90,000 views.

The newest substantial release, "Layer X Strake 9K: Low Pressure 9mm Suppressor that's Hollywood quite!", currently has the strongest daily momentum among the channel's uploads. Also a manufacturer partnership, it examines a suppressor whose description emphasizes low pressure and sound reduction. The title's Hollywood comparison is the video's pitch, not a measured finding supplied here.

A Ruger RXM maintenance video, a Klarus flashlight upload and "Pump Shotguns & Pumpkins!" round out the week. Across the catalog, sootch00 added nearly a million views, with subscribers unchanged. Daily viewing is below its usual level, unlike the above-usual activity at nearby TFB TV.

The Echelon discussion has a particularly clear dividing line: a new configuration for prospective buyers, or a separate grip option for people who already own one.

What viewers say

Echelon is a great pistol so some new grip modules are cool I'd grab one of them separate since I already have the gun.

I’ve been out of the handgun scene for like three or four months and I thought I missed so much, it’s a good feeling to be off for a few months and come back to new stuff
