HOW TO MAKE A HOMEMADE PROJECTOR 😱😱
Why is the phone playing its video upside down? Speed McQueen's homemade projector needs it that way, turning a shoebox, a magnifying glass and a little woodwork into a wall-screen viewing setup.
His Short, "HOW TO MAKE A HOMEMADE PROJECTOR 😱😱", drew roughly 2.3 million views in its first twelve hours. Its estimated first-day pace is more than six times his usual Shorts start, a strong response to a video that swaps his recent childhood-nostalgia sketches for a practical craft test.
McQueen follows an animated instructional clip by Zack D. Films, cutting between the animation and his own attempts. He removes the magnifying glass handle, traces the lens onto an empty Jordan shoebox and cuts an opening before gluing the glass inside.
The less obvious part is the phone mount: two wooden pieces joined at a right angle, with the phone taped upright against one. Sliding that stand backward and forward inside the box adjusts the focus. He raises the screen brightness, locks its orientation and, finally, turns off the room lights to watch the projection from the couch.
Viewers have picked up on the animated box's "ZACK D. SHOES" lettering and McQueen supplying the spoken instructions. Others are already escalating the assignment, joking that his next construction tutorial should cover a B-2 bomber.
