Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur | Highlights | Premier League 2026/27

A typical short highlights upload on Stan Sport Football attracts only a handful of comments. Its Manchester United-Tottenham recap already had hundreds, many circling the same question: should Luke Shaw have been sent off too?

"Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur | Highlights | Premier League 2026/27" reached about 155,000 views in nine hours, far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for short videos. The match finished 1-1 at Old Trafford, but the score was not the main talking point beneath the highlights. Viewers repeatedly questioned the treatment of Shaw, while others discussed the defending around Solanke's goal.

Stan's follow-up coverage gives the argument more context. One clip focuses on Rodrigo Bentancur's red card; another presents Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi crediting a headbutt with inspiring his team's late revival. On the United side, Michael Carrick's postmatch interview addresses the crowd's reaction to the draw. The broadcaster has turned the fixture into both a match recap and a set of competing postmatch explanations.

Other Matchweek 6 highlights also drew audiences well above the channel's usual short-video start, including Sunderland-Brighton, Aston Villa-Brentford and Ipswich Town-Fulham. But it is the United-Spurs comment section where viewers are picking apart what punishment the incident deserved.
