Half a million in sight for 'the Rarest Lamborghini in the World'
STRAD's only upload of the week sends James 6,000 miles, and his viewers keep pausing on a chocolate interior, a Koenigsegg Jesko and an Aventador J.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Flying 6,000 Miles to Find the Rarest Lamborghini in the World!
"Flying 6,000 Miles to Find the Rarest Lamborghini in the World!" is the one new video on STRAD, the channel where James, who introduces himself in the about text with his puppy Oskar, keeps the life around the cars. Five days in, it has close to half a million views and has moved past "My 401k Retirement Plan just TRIPLED!!!!", the August video it was closing in on when we last wrote here.
The title promises a single car, but the comment section has turned the video into a spotting game. Viewers point out a Koenigsegg Jesko Attack in the opening shots, timestamp an Aventador J deep into the trip, argue over where a prototype's taillights came from and picture the owner of one car lounging in its chocolate leather. The most liked comment is a joke about James remembering the password to this second channel. Several others say the trip deserved a slot on the main one, and a few call it a return to his car-chasing roots.
The channel overall held its usual rhythm, a little above its typical day, and picked up about 1,000 subscribers. Among the car channels nearest its size, Calvin's Car Diary and The Electric Viking were running well past their usual pace, while Burlacher was almost silent. STRAD sat in the middle, one long trip carrying the week on its own.
