Timers, tubes and dungeon-design ideas on Tango Tek2
Two Hermitcraft uploads pair Tango's project list with ravager wrangling alongside Impulse.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Hermitcraft - Timers, Tubes, and TODO list
How do you make a Minecraft dungeon frightening without making every danger obvious? Viewers of Tango Tek2's most-watched upload this week have been offering their own answers: hidden messages in whispers, misleading monster noises and a fear display that leaves players guessing.
"Hermitcraft - Timers, Tubes, and TODO list" drew about 58,000 views, the larger audience of the week's two uploads. One commenter singles out the pleasure of hearing Tango think through game design. Others treat the discussion as an invitation to sketch mechanics of their own, including shared curse effects that could make corrupted cards more manageable to implement. These are viewer suggestions, but they give the conversation a distinctly workshop-like character.
That fits the creator behind Decked Out, Tango's elaborate dungeon game built inside Minecraft. His second channel makes room for stream recordings and gameplay beyond the more edited projects, giving those design conversations somewhere to stretch out.
The other new upload, "Hermitcraft - Ravager Wranglin with Impulse!", brings fellow Hermitcraft creator impulseSV into the title. It is currently gathering views faster than the project-list stream, while the earlier "Hermitcraft - Shifting the Shifters!" also continues to draw viewers.
Subscribers were unchanged over the week, and today's channel views are well below the usual daily level. Several nearby Minecraft channels are also having slower viewing days; BionicTV had the largest weekly view gain among this group. For Tango Tek2, the week's distinctive attraction is the space between building a game and explaining how its moving parts might work.

What viewers say
One of the things I enjoy about these stream VODs is listening to Tango go through his thoughts on game design.
@disturbed_puppySee it on YouTubeMaybe a bad idea but for whispers, I think it would be cool if they had an hidden message in them. Whispers are, after all, a way to communicate and not just random sounds
@Guimauve_MarshmallowSee it on YouTubeRegarding fear related scary noises, I'll always remember the weird cracking sounds you hear in Amnesia TDD when your sanity starts to drop. Something like that may be cool

Represent fear as a flying machine that flies over the map, covering it up from one side. The more fear you have, the less of the UI is visible and the more you have to guess.
@LostLittleToySee it on YouTubeShould add ravager noises when you’re blind. Would add to the fear aspect, and they would think they’re closer to danger than they actually are
