Desktop CNC experiments keep TAOW's workshop in view
The Makera Z1 test ranges from carved topography to an aluminum accuracy check.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Best Desktop CNC Under 1000$?
An endmill holder, wave carvings and laser engraving on three-dimensional surfaces give TAOW's “Best Desktop CNC Under 1000$?” more to explore than its price question alone. The machine test has passed 700,000 views and is comfortably the most active of the channel's older videos.
TAOW posted nothing new this week, but there is a satisfying contrast on the existing shelf: testing a desktop machine versus finally getting a homemade CNC router cutting after more than five years. “Making a CNC Router - Part 4” follows frame welding, laser leveling and electronics through to the first chips. The more recent “This 700W Laser Welder Terrifies Me” puts safety setup, articulating fume extraction and a purpose-built welding cart at the center of another equipment experiment.
The channel added about 33,000 views over the week, while subscribers stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is below its usual pace. Nearby workshop channels mjlorton and myfordboy also had unchanged subscriber counts, though their weekly viewing totals were smaller. For TAOW, the desktop CNC test remains the main draw, long after its initial outing.
