Alien Fungus vs. Obstacles

TerraGreen's latest obstacle-course subject doesn't have legs, wings or even a brain. In "Alien Fungus vs. Obstacles," a slime mold's ability to grow toward food becomes the premise for five custom tests. Despite the title, slime molds aren't fungi, which makes this a particularly fitting detour for a channel devoted to teaching viewers something new about nature.

No new uploads arrived this week, but that experiment is doing substantial work. Released a little over two weeks ago, it has passed 10 million views and is the channel's busiest video by daily viewing among its current draws. The ants have company on the obstacle-course circuit.

"1,000 Ants vs. Natural Disasters" remains active months after release, using disaster-themed obstacles to explore ants' survival adaptations. It is drawing daily views at almost the same rate as "I Got The World's Largest Pets!", the size-spanning collection that ranges from microscopic organisms to creatures scarcely imaginable as pets.

Across the catalog, TerraGreen collected about 7.6 million views over seven days, the largest weekly total among its nearby pets-and-animals peers. Rocky Kanaka and Mocha Pom are having busier-than-usual days, while TerraGreen's daily viewing is a little below its usual pace. Subscribers nevertheless grew over the week, even without another animal, or slime mold, joining the new-upload shelf.
