The refill takes hours. That's one of the less glamorous details David pulls out of Tesla's Roadster presentation in ThatDudeinBlue's only new upload this week, a departure from his recent run of Mustang drives.
"The Tesla Roadster Situation is Crazy" opens with aerial spectacle, then gets into the hardware behind it. David describes a cold gas thruster system using a nitrogen tank, with a refill requiring a lengthy visit to a Tesla facility. A car doing a kickflip is one conversation; getting it ready to do another is rather different.
He also examines Tesla's extraordinary acceleration claims, the yoke steering wheel and the rear thruster ports. But the detail that particularly surprises him is the rear-wheel-drive layout. By the closing section, the question is less about whether the presentation was memorable than whether Tesla will deliver on its stated production plans.
The upload has reached roughly 376,000 views and supplies most of the channel's current daily viewing. In the comments, viewers reach for monster-truck shows, The Dukes of Hazzard and video-game comparisons to describe the spectacle. Others focus on the practical questions: pressure tanks, road legality and delivery timelines.
Across the channel, weekly views totaled about half a million, close to the totals at Gears and Gasoline and Junkyard Digs. Subscribers were unchanged, while daily views are running modestly below their usual pace.
Away from Tesla, David's sponsored Cadillac Blackwing drive remains among his most active older uploads, followed by the Mustang Dark Horse SC review. The four-door muscle car and the supercharged Mustang offer a more familiar counterpoint to this week's airborne engineering discussion.
