"Leaf Bros" gives TheOdd1sOut an autumn-sized drama

James's only new upload has passed half a million views, with leaf puns and voice acting filling the comments.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Leaf Bros

James has given viewers a leaf to worry about. "Leaf Bros," TheOdd1sOut's sole new upload, turns an everyday autumn crunch into a small animated drama, at least judging by the audience's increasingly elaborate leaf puns.

Alongside the wordplay, commenters keep returning to the effort James puts into voicing a leaf, the crunching sounds and a foot drawn with conspicuously detailed toes. Some are already imagining a leaf's revenge sequel. The upload has reached about 538,000 views, most of them arriving in its first day.

Elsewhere, the channel's busiest viewing has changed since our previous note. "Pika-donald's" no longer draws the most daily views: "Plinker Donkle" holds that spot, followed by "I Choose You Rattata!," whose description credits fellow animator Infamous Swoosh. Both are several months old, giving the catalog plenty of activity beyond the new seasonal arrival.

The subscriber count stayed unchanged, while daily viewing is running at roughly a quarter of its usual pace. Among nearby animation channels, Alan Becker had a larger viewing week and JaidenAnimations a quieter one; TheOdd1sOut sat in the middle of this group for weekly views. For James's newest addition, though, the conversation is pleasingly specific: how much drama can you get out of a leaf, and did that foot need quite so much detail?
