Tiridan Vee's sand cat hides in plain sight

A shallow sandy hollow becomes a hiding place in a wildlife Short already drawing several times the channel's usual first-day audience.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 93,217 views a day, 8.3 times a normal first day on this channel (11,260).

The sand cat saw someone approaching and immediately hid in its prepared sandy hideout 😅

Chin against the sand, ears flattened, the cat stays still while the camera moves closer. Its hiding place is shallow enough that viewers can follow the whole attempt at disappearing.

The wildlife clip on Tiridan Vee begins with the sand cat running toward a depression in a wide, flat desert landscape and dropping into it. There is no spoken explanation, just the approach and a close-up of the animal pressed low into its sandy surroundings.

The Short has drawn about 63,000 views in 12 hours, already several times what the channel's Shorts usually receive across a full first day. Another upload featuring a shark in a river is also starting unusually quickly.

Viewers have picked up on the gap between the cat's camouflage and the camera's clear view of it. Several comments play along with its attempt to remain unseen; others turn to the familiar joke of a wild animal looking deceptively like a potential household companion.

Tiridan Vee's nearby uploads include a domestic cat stopping mid-attempt to knock over a glass of water. Here, too, the action gives way to a very deliberate standstill.
