Snowmen with hidden stumps pose Ugo Lord's liability puzzle

Seven new uploads also put Tesla's driverless Cybercab and a backing-out collision under the attorney's scrutiny.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Ugo Lord's everyday legal puzzles brought in more than 51 million views over seven days, the largest weekly gain among his nearby true-crime and courts peers. COURT TV and EWU Crime Storytime were also drawing above-usual daily viewing, while OUTLORE with Eleanor Neale and Bella Fiori had quieter days.

The week's biggest new upload turns a snowman into a property-damage question. Lord's reaction examines a premise in which tree stumps are concealed inside snowmen to damage cars driven into them: who pays when the apparently soft target isn't soft at all? The video has reached roughly 5.7 million views. In the comments, viewers debate the importance of intent, question why drivers would leave the road to hit a snowman, and raise a separate concern about keeping fire hydrants visible.

Tesla supplied another distinctly modern question: can someone get a DUI in the driver's seat of a driverless Cybercab? Elsewhere, Lord examined a promised contractor bonus and whether a pickup driver who doesn't notice a collision could be guilty of hit-and-run.

The channel added subscribers over the week, and daily viewing is running about a third above its usual pace. The freshest momentum belongs to another road encounter: a truck backing out in front of a Tesla SUV. Lord uses it to explain the last clear chance doctrine, asking whether the SUV's opportunity to stop could affect liability.
