Volound calls Total War's reception an "ALL TIME LOW"

His new Shogun 2 critique turns from promised features to Steam reviews, unresolved bugs and a response attributed to an original artist.

Volound Story of October 18, 2026Trari Newsroom

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 117,071 views a day, 19 times a normal day (6,304).

Volound has moved from questioning what makes Shogun 2 complete to examining what happened when players got their hands on it. His new upload, "Total War's New ALL TIME LOW.", builds its argument around Steam review scores and the bugs he says still need fixing.

The channel drew roughly 117,000 views in a day, nearly nineteen times its usual daily audience. That jump coincides with the new critique, though the channel-wide total includes views of other uploads too.

This is a follow-through rather than a fresh subject. In his earlier October video, Volound examined the marketing, campaign-map changes, battle visuals and whether longstanding bugs had been addressed. The new video's description lays out a harsher assessment, returning to those complaints alongside the game's reception. It also includes criticism attributed to Roland MacDonald, identified there as an artist on the original Shogun 2.

For readers who remember Volound through Far Cry animal encounters or elaborate Dishonored runs, the format is a contrast: extended commentary rather than a demonstration of play. But the concern connects to his stated interest in pushing game systems to their limits. Here, the question is what has actually been improved, rather than what has been repackaged.
