The map has company. Xander Budnick posted nothing new, but "8 Days Exploring my Favorite Map" is drawing the most daily views of any upload on his channel, with Amazon and island survival adventures close behind.
The map in question takes him back to Temagami, a northern Ontario canoeing destination he calls one of his favorite places on Earth. His description promises a new solo route and jokes about its almost billion portages. That is a lot of carrying between stretches of paddling, even allowing for a generous helping of exaggeration. The eight-day trip has reached roughly 909,000 views.
Farther from those familiar waters, "7 Days Surviving Alone in the Amazon," a sponsored video, and "7 Days Solo Survival on Shipwreck Island | No Food, Water, or Shelter" remain busy parts of the catalog. Together, these very different journeys give the upload break plenty of destinations.
The channel added more than a million views over seven days, though daily viewing is currently below its usual pace and subscribers held steady. Among nearby outdoors channels, MeatEater and Kamoka Pearl had substantial weeks; Field Days posted a similar weekly view gain to Xander's. For Budnick, the freshest draw is a return to a place he already knows, with a different route to figure out.
