Accuphase prompts heirloom hi-fi talk on A British Audiophile
Tarun's E700 review asks whether Class A is essential to the brand's modern-vintage sound.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
STIR THE SOUL! Accuphase E700 Amplifier Review
A British Audiophile gave its sole new upload to an amplifier with a question attached: do you need Accuphase's Class A designs to appreciate its house sound? "STIR THE SOUL! Accuphase E700 Amplifier Review" has reached about 39,000 views, and it is the channel's most active video right now.
Tarun structures the review around design, technical insights, listening and extracting performance. In the comments, viewers pick out the comparisons with other amplifiers and different speakers as particularly useful. The conversation also takes a longer view than the next upgrade: several owners discuss equipment they hope to pass down. One recalls inheriting a Luxman amplifier bought by their mother in the early 1970s, with plans for another generation to receive it.
There is a complementary question on the recent review shelf. "HEGEL FINALLY DID IT! Hegel A200 Amplifier Review" examines an amplifier that leaves out the DAC and streamer, a change Tarun says he wanted for sound-quality reasons. That review continues drawing views, alongside "STUNNING SCOTTISH SPEAKERS! ART Emotion Carbon 6M Speaker Review," featuring the boutique manufacturer based in Troon.
The channel added about 1,000 subscribers over the week, although daily viewing is currently well below its usual pace. Nearby audio channel New Record Day is also having a slower viewing day than usual; A British Audiophile drew more weekly views. Here, the Accuphase review is doing the most work, while giving owners a reason to talk about keeping equipment rather than replacing it.

My mum bought a new Luxman sq505x in the early 70s, passed it on to me, and I'll pass it onto my kids one day. It is the best looking piece of gear on my rack and holds its own against far more expensive separates.
@danielmack4276See it on YouTubeNot only does he crack the lid, but he gives us brief descriptions of what this amp can do with a variety of speakers and then articulates the sonic differences with several other amps in house. You have set the bar significantly higher my friend. Once again, top shelf. 👍
@edgarortiz4681See it on YouTubeOne of the reasons I bought an Accuphase was to pass it down. All the other top quality amps are for sure good stuff , but many with all the digital gizmos did not convince me about longevity . I am surprised it did not get an outstanding - to each is own!

I got an Accuphase E-4000 at a good price a few months ago as my end-game amplifier.
It is built like a tank with headroom for days.. The best amplifier I've ever had in my rack.
Thanks for this excellent review, Tarun.@chrisvand2678See it on YouTubeLove the comparisons. Exposure (pun intended) to similarly priced gear is critical for determining value, tonal character, and delivery of micro details as well as dynamic impact. Thank you Tarun. To my persona taste the Dazzle fits the bill.
@davidrivera2165See it on YouTubeI bought the E-380 as an outgoing model at reduced price and yes, this is the endgame amplifier in my system. It sounds as it looks and feels. Detail and precision
