Freestyle or street? Braille Skateboarding leaves room for both
Three new uploads pair a skating-style debate with a boneless tutorial and a return to essential skills.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Freestyle vs Street
Braille Skateboarding's viewers aren't all accepting the choice offered by "Freestyle vs Street." Some pick a side; others would rather combine the two. One commenter has started practicing freestyle, while another, a bassist as well as a skater, singles out the metronome bit.
That conversation accompanied the week's most-watched new upload, which reached about 22,000 views. The contrast has real skateboarding history behind it: freestyle's flat-ground experimentation helped shape the flip tricks that became staples of street skating. A preference needn't mean drawing a border around your board.
The other two uploads keep Braille's teaching mission in view. "How to boneless on a skateboard #skateboarding #skateboardvibes #skate" offers a specific trick lesson, while "If you did not learn these 5 skills, go back." takes a broader approach to the basics. That newest upload currently has the strongest daily momentum among the channel's active videos. The older "Helmet vs No Helmet" is also drawing attention, with the description leaving no ambiguity about Braille's position: wear a helmet.
Across the channel, daily viewing is close to its usual level, though the subscriber count slipped over the week. Its roughly 416,000 additional views made this a smaller viewing week than those of nearby sports channels Global Cycling Network and Rick Shiels Golf. For Braille, the fresh material stays firmly on the board: choosing a style, learning a trick and checking the foundations.

What viewers say
I prefer skaters who combine both styles.
@WordAteSee it on YouTubeAs a bassist and a freestyler I appreciate the metronome bit lol
@SchmuddelSee it on YouTubeI find freestyle skater style kind of cute, how they work on their tricks alone and patiently, in spots where no one else skates. And in the process, they come up with the coolest stuff 🔥😊
I just started practicing a bit of freestyle myself@user-uy3lu8fg7jSee it on YouTube

I prefer the streets but this is how I grew up. I highly respect the freestyle; they formulate and make possible the tricks streets skaters do. ❤
@ivanordonez87See it on YouTubePersonally I like freestyle more than watching the 1000. Kick- or Tre-flip no matter how clean or what gap and I like watching that stuff. It is the combination of skating and music that gets me hooked..
@flotenn3351See it on YouTubeWait when couldnt you do freestyle on street??
