Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Episode 369: The Mummy Files

Alex Faciane has a broad definition of mummy homework for Jesse Cox and Mike Martin, better known as Mathas. In "Episode 369: The Mummy Files," the description promises the basics, the birth of Egyptomania, mummy dust and examples from around the world. That is considerably more ground than a single Egyptian tomb.

The episode was the most watched of Chilluminati Podcast's two new uploads, reaching about 8,500 views. Viewers are picking out Alex's recurring "Chilluminati tube" bit and the episode artwork, while others bring bog mummies and the animated series Mummies Alive! into the conversation. The subject has plenty of room for both history and pop-culture detours.

Wednesday's "Midweek Mini: Big Week for Spotters!" attracted a smaller total audience, but it is currently adding views a little faster than The Mummy Files. Both sit above September's "Episode 366: Bill Cooper Part 2 - Bill According to the World" in daily viewing. That older installment has Mathas discussing Cooper's life through Mark Jacobson's Pale Horse Rider, contrasting it with Cooper's own account.

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, and daily viewing is close to the channel's usual pace. Nearby mystery channel Into the Fog with Peter Laws had a larger week for views and added subscribers; Chilluminati's more modest week brought roughly 27,000 views across its catalog, with Alex's mummy introduction supplying the biggest new audience.
