first time playing 82 Chevy live & it was in my hometown??
Where do you play a song live for the first time? For Dasha, "82 Chevy" got a hometown introduction, captured in "first time playing 82 Chevy live & it was in my hometown??" The title supplies both the occasion and the little note of disbelief.
That performance was part of a busy upload week, with another clip pointing viewers toward the song's music video. "Dasha - 82 Chevy (Official Music Video)", directed and edited by Jo Anna Edmison, remains among the channel's biggest daily draws, even with newer posts arriving around it. Dasha also shares its creative-direction credit with Edmison and Adam Budd.
The largest audience for a new upload, though, belonged to the much less explanatory "sorrryyyy". It has reached about 110,000 views and is adding views faster than any other video on the channel's current momentum list. In the comments, viewers bring up a monitor and walking backward; the tiny apology has given them more to discuss than its title reveals.
Across the channel, the week brought nearly two million views and a modest subscriber gain. In the surrounding country-and-folk group, Cody Johnson and Lainey Wilson had larger weekly view gains, while Dasha's subscriber increase matched those of Johnson and Bryan Martin.
Away from the song rollout, "welcome to my purse" offered a different subject altogether. Between that personal aside and the hometown debut, Dasha's week made room for more than the official music-video treatment.
