DD Speed Shop's Nomad needs more than a pre-trip check
Duct Tape Drags preparations join an auction El Camino salvage job and a closer look at a newly purchased Suburban.

Absolutely DESTROYED! Leaving In A Few Days, Full Rebuild Required.
An auction bargain and a road-trip deadline made very different demands on Dan's spare time. DD Speed Shop posted four videos, starting with a rough El Camino and ending with a Nomad that, according to Dan's description, needed serious work before it could safely head down the road.
The week's most watched upload, "AUCTION FIND WAY WORSE Than I Originally Thought!", reached about 56,000 views. Cleaned up and back home, the El Camino became a question of what could be salvaged rather than a straightforward restoration. Viewers supplied a parts checklist: the tilt steering column came up repeatedly, alongside reminders about the brake booster, glass and other useful pieces. Several suggested keeping the yellow car until the black El Camino was finished, in case more donor parts were needed.
"DID I GET SCREWED? Or Was this Worth The Price and Effort?" brought a similar value-for-effort question to the newly purchased Suburban. It had made it home and cleaned up nicely; Dan's next task was taking a deeper look.
Then the travel preparations got less routine. "Absolutely DESTROYED! Leaving In A Few Days, Full Rebuild Required." turns a planned once-over of the 1955 Chevy Nomad into front-end repair work with Duct Tape Drags only days away. It's the channel's biggest daily viewing draw right now, followed by "Last Minute Thrash for Duct Tape Drags", whose description includes a retailer promotion.
Subscribers remained unchanged, while weekly views were in the same broad neighborhood as TFLEV's. Dan's newest viewing momentum, though, belongs to the wagon that was supposed to need only a quick check.

My advice would be to hang onto the yellow one until the black one is finished. Use all the parts that you need along the way, there may be some surprises that the yellow one can provide. Then sell what is left over and get your money back!
