Greg McElroy's week 4 takeaways outpace ESPN College Football's usual openers

A ten-point look back at the fourth weekend of the season, hosted by a former Alabama quarterback, is the channel's quickest new arrival.

Channel: ESPN College Football Story of September 28, 2026Trari Newsroom

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 193,711 views a day, 15 times a normal first day on this channel (13,184).

McElroy’s Top 10 takeaways from week 4! | Always College Football

McElroy's list moved fast. "McElroy’s Top 10 takeaways from week 4! | Always College Football" went up on Sunday, and in its first day it ran at close to fifteen times the pace a new ESPN College Football upload usually sets. It has already passed sixty thousand views.

Most videos on the channel begin their lives modestly and give way to the next clip. This one is a simple format: one analyst and ten thoughts on the fourth weekend of the season. The title keeps the teams and games to itself.

The analyst is Greg McElroy, the former Alabama quarterback who won a national championship with the Crimson Tide before moving into broadcasting. Always College Football is his ESPN show, and this countdown is its busiest start in a while on the channel.
