Evan and Katelyn put tiny pumpkins inside resin keycaps

Their latest keyboard project scales up to thousands of pieces, alongside a day nearly ten times busier than usual for the channel.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 751,668 views a day, 9.7 times a normal day (77,837).

Making a tiny pumpkin is only part of the job. Evan and Katelyn also have to paint it, encase it in a resin cube and turn the miniature into something that belongs on a keyboard.

Their latest upload, "DIY Resin Pumpkin Keycaps (3000 of them…)", brings that painstaking project to the foreground as the channel adds roughly 750,000 views in a day, nearly ten times its regular pace. Posted on October 9, the video already has a substantial audience of its own, though the channel-wide jump cannot be assigned entirely to this one build.

The project starts with an orientation test before moving into mold-making, casting the resin pumpkin and painting it. Only then comes the surrounding resin cube and the final reveal. The small finished object has a surprisingly long making-of story, with the description also touching on design iterations and developing a custom product from the ground up.

Keyboards have given the pair room for much stranger materials, too. Their August collaboration with Safiya Nygaard, "We Turned AI Slop Into Real Keyboards (feat. Safiya Nygaard)", tackled ice, sponge and water keyboards. This time, the experiment is small enough to sit beneath a fingertip.
