Genshin Impact puts a countdown over Teyvat, then brings its national leaders together to work out what to do about it. In the opening trailer for "Hour of Ruin," glowing celestial nails loom overhead. The special program explains the stakes: the Nails of Retribution are activating, and The Tsaritsa has organized a summit to discuss countermeasures.

That gathering is a particular talking point in the comments. Viewers keep returning to Ei leaving Inazuma, the prospect of the Archons assembling, and Zhongli apparently avoiding another encounter with Neuvillette. Some reach for an Avengers comparison; others are busy imagining the awkward seating arrangements.

The official update presentation drew about 1.4 million views in 16 hours, far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience. The separately posted "Hour of Ruin" trailer also made an unusually fast start.

Hosted by Lumine's English voice actor Sarah Miller-Crews alongside the voices of Mitya and Valeriy, the program moves from impending catastrophe to the practical business of playing through it. Mitya's Electro combat kit changes with battle conditions and team composition. Valeriy supplies shields and Electro team buffs, giving teammates room to deal damage.

There is more to explore beyond the summit: an underground city in Snezhnaya, blight crystals to combat, and Prime Ice tools and elemental shotguns to help tackle the danger. The main event, "The Grand Defense: Defy the Unjust Judgment," turns that defensive effort into combat zones, emergency rescues and air supremacy missions.
