iSorrow revisits Napoleon: Total War's Great War makeover
A return to a mod he played years ago accompanies a sharp rise in views across his second channel.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 221,908 views a day, 8.1 times a normal day (27,491).
Muskets and Napoleon are giving way to the First World War on iSorrow. His new upload, "The Great War Mod For Napoleon Total War Is Insane," returns to a modification he says he tried on his main channel years ago.
The return arrives alongside a much busier day for the channel: roughly 222,000 views across its videos, about eight times its usual daily audience. The Great War upload itself is approaching a quarter-million views since its October 14 release, though that total doesn't establish how much of the channel's daily jump it supplied.
The mod shifts Napoleon: Total War out of its original historical period and into a very different kind of warfare. iSorrow's description introduces the revisit with a joke about inhaling a mysterious green cloud, rather than a solemn history lesson.
As we reported here, crash-prone factions and armies armed with pointy sticks were already filling his Empire: Total War lineup. This upload offers a different departure from the intended game: not another unusual faction or tactic, but a whole new war inside Napoleon's framework.
