Jared McCain brings his Spurs scoring night to the vlog

Game-day uploads follow the Thunder's media-day preparations as viewing across McCain's channel climbs to nearly five times its usual pace.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 116,870 views a day, 4.7 times a normal day (24,790).

Jared McCain has moved from media-day duties to putting his Thunder games on camera. His new upload, "i scored 20 points against the spurs", follows "my first nba preseason game with the thunder", giving the channel a basketball-focused turn after September's training and New York travel entries.

The channel is drawing roughly 117,000 views a day, nearly five times its usual pace. That is a change from the quieter stretch earlier this month, when his Oklahoma City media-day video was the main attraction, as we reported here.

There is a longer Oklahoma City story running through these uploads. McCain's February video announcing his trade remains his most-watched regular upload, followed elsewhere in the back catalog by a house tour and training with Shai in Toronto. The game entries add another chapter to that move, beyond the announcement and settling in.

The Spurs video's description also gives a familiar credit: Nate, who filmed the media-day outing, gets the video credit again.
