Views jump 15x the channel's usual pace

A vampire king Blade, a Cyclops 'From Ashes to Glory' and an Infinity Finale

Marvel Rivals' official channel had a day of nearly three million views, far more than its newest costume reveals have drawn between them.

Blade has a crown now. "The Bloodthirsty King Reigns!" is the title of his new costume reveal on the official Marvel Rivals channel, and it arrived in a run of new looks: Cyclops in "From Ashes to Glory," a Devil Dinosaur skin promising to "fracture their souls in style," and a trailer announcing that the Infinity Finale is here, under the slogan "Stand United, Honor the Legacy, and Fight for the Future."

The cast is a fitting mix for a game that pulls its heroes from every corner of Marvel. Blade is the half-vampire hunter Wesley Snipes played on film from 1998, so a costume that turns him into a vampire king plays against everything he hunts. Cyclops, the X-Men's field leader with the ruby visor, gets a costume whose title suggests something risen from the fire.

Then came a very big day: close to three million views in one day, about fifteen times an ordinary one. The newest uploads do not account for it. Together they sit well short of a million views, and it is not clear which video drew the crowd. Maybe something older on the shelf found its way back into people's feeds?

Among the game and esports channels nearest its size, VALORANT Champions Tour and Warhammer are also running above their usual pace, while 100 Thieves and Plants vs. Zombies are quieter than normal.

The competitive side is busy too. The Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2 playoffs opened for the PAC region with SRMZ against GEN, streamed in full on the channel as Day 1.
